In our initial phase, we'll focus on understanding what makes your business unique. You'll complete a questionnaire to share your goals, values, target audience, and more. We'll then have a discovery call to review this information. Using these insights, I'll create a mood board to guide our creative direction.
Once aligned on a visual direction, I'll create design concepts for your review, incorporating your feedback and refining until you're confident about every detail. After finalizing your branding, I'll integrate it into your website, packaging, marketing collateral, and selected design components.
I'll share an organized Dropbox folder of assets along with brand guidelines that will provide you with the guidance you need to maintain your new brand. If I've created a website for you, I'll also send a tutorial on how to edit your new website. You’ll now have all the design assets you need to consistently and confidently grow your business!
Absolutely! I work with clients from all over the world. If we live in different time zones, we can coordinate call times to make sure it works for both of us.
For most projects, I'll send you a questionnaire to fill out before your project start date. I'll be asking you all about your business, your goals, your ideal customers, visual inspiration, etc. For web projects, you'll also need to provide the written copy and professional photography that will be displayed on your site. I can suggest a copywriter or photographer if you need a recommendation. Throughout the project, I'll ask you to provide feedback on the design concepts that I present to you.
Since every project is truly unique in scope, pricing can vary. Most custom projects start at $4K. After we chat and I have a better idea of your project goals, I’ll create a custom proposal which will include different package options tailored to your needs and budget. If you aren't ready to invest in custom design, my Brand in a Week or Website in a Week services may be a good fit for you.
Yes, I always break projects up into regular payments to make the investment a little easier. I require a non-refundable deposit for all projects (25% for custom work, 50% for my Brand in a Week or Website in a Week services) in order to hold your spot. The remaining payments are spread out throughout the rest of our project.
I do not currently offer logo-only design. While a logo is important, it is only one small part of a larger branding system. My process is rooted in strategy and results in a comprehensive brand identity system (logos, color palette, typography, illustration, patterns, etc.) to support your business. If you only need the essentials to get started, my Brand in a Week service may be right for you.
My availability varies and will depend on my current workload. Sometimes we can start right away but during my busier seasons it may be 1-2 months before I have availability. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible so you can reserve your spot.
The timeline depends on your specific project. Most custom brand design projects take 6-8 weeks to complete. Custom web design projects typically take 8-10 weeks. If you are in a time crunch, my Brand in a Week or Website in a Week services may be the best choice for you. After our consultation call, I'll provide a specific timeline and project schedule.
Possibly! I prefer working with brands that I have designed myself. However, if you have branding in place that is working for your business and it aligns with my design style, I am happy to work with you on a project.
